| The Avalon bed from Bragada is a third offer in the standard category, once again using the 3 inch, 5.3lb CoolTemp ventilated memory foam with the Bragada MagicMiddle bolstered center area. The primary improvement is the additional 0.5 inches of memory foam quilted directly into the cover of the mattress, this will give you a slightly more luxurious initial feel, but will only have minimal impact on the overall feel of the bed. As with other Bragada beds, you do get the limited lifetime warranty, which few other manufacturers offer. The first 15 years of the warranty are at full replacement value, and then the remainder of the lifetime of the bed is covered at 50% of the replacement value. The manufacturers website did not list a sleep trial period. The shipping cost is included in the mattress price on the manufacturers website, and the Bragada Avalon was still registering about $700 in savings over the Tempur-Pedic ClassicBed, the most comparable model to the Avalon. The Avalon bed by Bragada is still a firm mattress overall. You will feel a slightly firmer initial feel which should dissipate as the foam warms to your body temperature. The extra half-inch of memory foam quilted directly into the cover of the mattress will help some, as it will warm very quickly. As with all firm mattresses you might consider, the Avalon should be suited well for users who primarily sleep on their back. |
